Keldersessie: Jazzed For Fun
Jazzed For Fun is a 10-piece jazz band with musicians from Breda and surroundings. As the name suggests: a band that was initially established for the pleasure of the members (1999).
ABOUT
Door toevallige ontmoetingen, waarbij dezelfde interesse bleek, is het idee ontstaan om een jazzband met een bijzondere samenstelling op te richten. Dat dit een succes is geworden, blijkt wel uit de vele lovende recensies. Het repertoire bestaat uit swingende muziek van Sammy Nestico, Count Basie, Frank Sinatra, Michael Bublé, Art Blakey, Amy Winehouse, Van Morrison en vele anderen, van klassieke tot huidige jazz.
Eigenlijk heel toegankelijke jazz met veel zang. De sound van de band varieert van een klein combo tot een bigband door de uitgekiende arrangementen, die speciaal voor deze bezetting zijn geschreven.

Papa and the Mountain Berg is a picture book about lung cancer and loss. The book was created from the experiences of different families dealing with lung cancer. It's inspired by the loss of Iris' father to lung cancer. The mountain-shaped book is made to make the conversation about loss, something you can’t ignore, easier for young and old.
