In de sound herken je de roots van de echte Big Band muziek. Die wordt afgewisseld met prikkelende modernere stukken. Van klassieke jazz/swing in de stijl van Count Basie, Duke Ellington en Sammy Nestico (jaren '40-50), tot Salsa, Bossa Nova en moderne composities van Miles Davis, Charlie Mingus, Paul Murtha, Mike Stern en Erik Morales. Een heerlijke smeltkroes van diversiteit, maar altijd herkenbaar voor het publiek.

In de afgelopen twee jaar heeft The Small Town Bigband onder leiding van Adri Kas de puntjes op de i gezet en met volle energie gewerkt aan nieuw repertoire. En natuurlijk schittert hun eigen First Lady of Jazz weer op het podium: Lisette Spee.
