Generation Next: Evelien Slegers
Zangeres en songwriter uit Tilburg met een stijl die puur, licht en natuurlijk klinkt. Haar minimalistische, gelaagde songs putten inspiratie uit de natuur en combineren jazzinvloeden met pop, folk en een vleugje Nordic sound. Eveliens teksten zijn kwetsbaar en persoonlijk, vaak met thema’s als feminisme en dierenrechten.

Drummer en componist Youri Traa brengt een avontuurlijke maar toegankelijke sound, waarin strakke grooves en vrije improvisatie elkaar afwisselen. Zijn muziek verkent nieuwe klankkleuren en combinaties, met een sterke focus op ritme, detail en vernieuwing.

Papa and the Mountain Berg is a picture book about lung cancer and loss. The book was created from the experiences of different families dealing with lung cancer. It's inspired by the loss of Iris' father to lung cancer. The mountain-shaped book is made to make the conversation about loss, something you can’t ignore, easier for young and old.
